2009 Linda F. Hogoboom Memorial Scholarship

Presented by TenderTales, Inc. in conjunction with the Warren Coalition 

 The Linda F. Hogoboom Memorial Scholarship seeks to provide a $1,000 college scholarship to assist students who have demonstrated integrity in helping special needs peers, a good academic record, commitment to pursue higher education and a desire to contribute to society.  A $1,000 scholarship is available for award to one qualifying student at each Warren County high school.

Eligibility Criteria

• Enrolled full time as high school senior in Warren County Public Schools (and attended for a minimum of one year) progressing toward graduation in Spring 2010 with plans to enter college no later than fall following graduation.
• Demonstrated involvement in co-curricular and/or community service activities
• Demonstrated involvement in the assistance of a special needs student in the school and/or community.
• Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
• U. S. citizen or permanent resident

Application Procedures

Student must submit

• Application (available through Warren Coalition or College Access office at each high school)
• A letter describing the applicant's relationship and assistance to a special needs student
• A letter of reference from an adult who can verify the assistance to a special needs student
